Terms and Conditions of Entry

1. The Promoter

The promoter is Thrive Financial Limited (referred to as "the Promoter").

2. Promotion Period

The promotion commences at the opening of the 2026 Manawatu Home Show and closes at the conclusion of the event (17th - 19th July 2026).

3. Prize Details

  • The prize pool consists of three (3) individual prizes of a $100 deposit into a Kids KiwiSaver account.

  • There will be three (3) distinct winners drawn from eligible entries.

  • The prize must be deposited directly into an approved Kids KiwiSaver account opened or managed through the Promoter.

  • The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for physical cash or alternative products.

4. Eligibility Criteria

  • Attendance: The entering child must have physically attended the 2026 Manawatu Home Show to be eligible to win.

  • Age Limit: Entrants must be 17 years of age or younger at the time of entry.

  • Household Limit: Entry eligibility is strictly restricted to one (1) participating child per household. The same child cannot be entered multiple times, however, multiple children from the same family household can be entered into the draw.

  • Exclusions: Directors, employees, contractors, and immediate family members (parents, siblings, or children) of Thrive Financial Limited are strictly ineligible to enter.

5. How to Earn Entries

Entries and bonuses are earned via interactive tiers at the event booth:

  • 1 Entry: Filling out the entry/contact details (no obligation required).

  • 5 Entries / Bonus: Earned via active participation in booth activities, which include getting four (4) Cornhole game points or participating in the "Spin and WIN / take a PRIZE" activity.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

  • The winners will be determined by a random draw from all valid, eligible entries.

  • Winners (or their legal guardians) will be notified via the phone number and/or email address provided during entry.

  • The prize draw will be drawn no later than Friday 31st July 2026. This allows time for entries to be reconciled for eligibility.  

  • The 7-Day Claim Window: The prize must be claimed within 7 days of the initial notification attempt. If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond, or is found to be ineligible within this 7-day period, the prize will be forfeited, and a re-draw will occur to select an alternative winner.

7. Nature of Financial Service & Advice

  • No Advice Implied: The administrative process of opening a Kids KiwiSaver account under this promotion is considered a transactional service and does not constitute personalized financial advice, provided no advice is explicitly requested.

  • Availability of Advice: Thrive Financial Limited strictly operates in compliance with New Zealand financial regulations. Personalised advice regarding the selection of a suitable KiwiSaver provider, fund type, or investment strategy will be willingly offered and provided to the child's legal guardian upon explicit request.

8. Privacy and Data Use

By participating, parents or legal guardians agree that Thrive Financial Limited may collect and use the provided personal information to administer the draw, facilitate account setups, and offer financial services, in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

9. Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and FAP Disclosure

KiwiSaver is a regulated managed investment scheme. The prize money will only be deposited once a valid KiwiSaver account is successfully opened or confirmed.

  • A copy of the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for the selected KiwiSaver scheme, and Thrive Financial Limited’s Financial Advice Provider (FAP) Disclosure Statement, are available free of charge upon request, or can be found on our website at www.thrive.kiwi. Legal guardians must read the PDS before an account can be opened for the minor.

10. KiwiSaver Withdrawal Restrictions

The $100 prize is paid as a voluntary member contribution into the winner’s Kids KiwiSaver account.

  • Once deposited, the prize is strictly subject to standard KiwiSaver legislative withdrawal rules (e.g., locking preservation until retirement age or first-home withdrawal regulations). It cannot be withdrawn early merely because it was won via a promotion.

11. General Legal Framework

  • No Commercial Gain / Free Entry: Entry into this promotion is completely free of charge. No premium or extra fees have been loaded onto any services or activities at the booth to fund this draw.

  • Finality Clause: The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the promotion, including the eligibility of entries and the method of the random draw, is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • Right to Amend/Cancel: The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the promotion at any time due to circumstances outside its reasonable control (e.g., event cancellation).

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Thrive Financial Limited and its employees shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or injury suffered by any participant or winner in connection with this promotion or the prize awarded.
